About Us

Our law firm is dedicated to providing quality legal services to the nonprofit community at an affordable rate.

Forming a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization in California is one of our specialties.  We have worked extensivley with 501c3 organizations, and we thrive on helping new organizations start their existence with the legal foundation they need in order to grow, become successful, and serve their communities.  We work hand-in-hand with emerging nonprofits to help them develop their missions and goals and fine-tune their business plans.

Our successful clients provide services that cover a broad range of the nonprofit spectrum, including children's services, environmental groups, faith-based organizations (such as churches), educational groups, and grass-roots community organizations.

Serving established nonprofit organizations (such as 501c3 and 501c6 organizations) also forms a large part of our practice.

Why would you use our law firm and not a document preparation service?  Aren’t the services basically the same?

Actually, no.  Our fees are competitive with many document preparation services in the state, but our legal services are not.  We are able to provide you with actual legal advice on the formation of your organization, on running your organization, on fundraising for your organization, and on meeting your tax and accounting compliance requirements.  We are available by phone and email to help your organization and to provide you with current legal information.  Starting with good corporate procedures will ensure that your organization grows and develops appropriately and with the right direction and support.  It will also ensure that your organization does not run afoul of federal or state regulations as it develops.

Having an attorney also means that your organization will not receive “cookie cutter” documents that may or may not be suitable to your organization’s mission.  We listen to your organization’s needs, your mission, your long-term goals, and formulate your documents accordingly so that the documents themselves become useful to your planning and development.  We also provide instruction on how to use corporate procedures so that these procedure help your organization to continue evolving and growing.
